I was one of the lead designers on the Starr Park campaign from start to finish. The extensive design work that went into this project was tiring, but oh-so rewarding. I was pivotal in creating the assets from the inception of the inklings on an idea to the production of the spot, website, and socials. This project will always live in my portfolio as one of the most out-there and interesting pieces of work I have done.

Starr Park is a full-fledged made-up amusement park story to help promote Supercell’s mobile game Brawl Stars. The idea behind Starr Park started with the story of Brawl Stars having its own amusement park back in the day where everything seemed perfect, but things were unnervingly a bit “off.”

The WK design team pitched this idea in our basement floor fully decked out with Starr Park memorabilia, Brawl Stars fan art, an entire window wall of post-it art featuring their hero character Colt, and even a glitched out 90s TV replaying park footage.

After winning the pitch, the WK team dug further into this narrative and introduced an entire fake website dedicated to all the old memorabilia, posters, pins T-shirts, etc. dedicated to this eerie amusement park. An investor video was then created to persuade “visitor” to put their money into this crazy park.
